[this... is definitely not something he expected at all. he didn't even expected heung soo to make seaweed soup—hell, he hadn't even remembered it was his birthday at all. so the fact that mary knows about it can mean only one thing... that heung soo told her.

she's too nice to him, he thinks. he hasn't done much to deserve such a nice looking cake, especially not one that just fits his aesthetic oddly well. which isn't to say he doesn't like it, or he doesn't think highly of the fact that she did this. but nam soon definitely thinks mary is too nice to a punk like him. it'll definitely be a bit before he actually responds, because he doesn't even know what to say.]
